As a resident of New Lenox, I grew up in a community that calls itself the “Home of Proud Americans”. It’s a value that I have held on to throughout my life. I am proud to live in this country. I am grateful for my freedoms. I am thankful for those who protect those freedoms and rights.

I received an email from Ed Dunne a few days ago that reminded me that maybe we do not say thank you as much as we should or would like to. The email linked to information about The Gratitude Campaign.

The idea is that sometimes we may not have the right words or moment to say thank you, but we can show our appreciation by using a simple gesture.
