‘You’d look hotter in a helmet’

The theme of this year’s Home Safety Month is Hands on Home Safety.

June is National Safety Month and this year’s theme by the National Safety Council (NSC) is Make A Difference.

With the start of hurricane season right around the corner, FEMA is urging residents to be prepared for their personal safety and survival in case a hurricane threatens their community. To assist in these efforts, FEMA, along with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, is helping to raise awareness of steps that can be taken to help protect citizens, their communities and property. President Bush has declared May 25-31 “National Hurricane Preparedness Week.”

As the weather warms up, we may be inclined to start presenting programs aimed at bicycle safety.

The DVD launch reinforces the goal of the alliance between the Red Cross and Safety4Kids to continually educate children on the importance of safety.
